According to the Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov) published stats, in 2010 consumers filed 1.3 million complaints in the US. Six years later, in 2016, consumers filed 8.4 million complaints. That's a 650% increase in filed complaints in the last 6 years. In conclusion, we estimate that at least 6% of the households (one out of every twenty households) in the US is a victim of some form of scam every year.
